£3 an hour or part of -

For example any time less than an hour would cost £3. One and half hours would be  £6. 2 hours 50 minutes would be £9 and so on.

Account Holders

Account holders must sign a standing order for £30 per calendar month – making this payment in advance – the first 15 hours each calendar month of hot-desk use are then already paid for. After that it’s £2 per hour, or part of, and you will be billed every month for any hours over the 15. 2

Examples of an annual cost: You use the hot-desk all year around but never exceeds their 15 hours per month = £360. Your average monthly use is 30 hours per month: an extra 15 hours = £30 a month, so in addition to your £30 standing order you will also be billed on a monthly basis for £30.

Account holders block booking and Locators

Secure a discount by regular, annual, block booking of specific hot-desk time. Sign an annual contract (paid for quarterly in advance) for a fixed amount of time on

specified days. It’s possible to alter these days depending on availability by arrangement in advance at reception.

This works out at £1.50 an hour.

Example. Block book every Tuesday morning for four hours throughout year minus four weeks holidays = £1.50 x 4 = £6 per week x 48 weeks = £288 year. With

personal storage is £2 an hour, an annual sum of £384. This must be paid quarterly in advance, and so in this example the quarterly payment would be £72 or £96.

You can also base your business at the Cheese and Grain – see “Locators” below.

Printing

There is a colour printer/photocopier that will do long runs up to A3 size (both sides if wanted).

Charges: To be advised (currently negotiating a new deal with our supplier – however we will always charge less than in-town print shops).

Storage

Whatever rate you are paying you can have a locked two draw cabinet that can be wheeled to your desk: suitable for files, laptops etc.

Locators

Account holders can locate and base a business, organisation or campaign at the Cheese and Grain. The Locators’ service includes a plaque or other signage (by arrangement), 9am to 8pm reception Monday to Saturday, message mail/parcel service, meeting facilities, and Wi FI, lockers/file storage. This costs just £38 per month, plus your own one-off signage costs. This charge remains the same regardless of the number of staff who use the hot desks. Then determine and agree with us the number of hours per week you will use the facilities. The hourly rate for

Locators is £1.50 (a 50% discount). Printing/copying is extra. These must be at least annual contracts

Example: One year agreement; standing charge £38 x 12 = £456 per year. An

average of 10 hours per week over 52 weeks is £1.50 x 10 x 52 = £780: A total of

£1,236. 3

General information.

• Charges based on one person working from one desk

• No PC’s or other computers are provided – bring and plug in your own laptop

to our Wi Fi

• Keys for these are kept securely by reception. There are additional charges for any further storage

• Meeting Rooms: Can be pre-booked for £10 per hour (or part-of). However hot-desk users are free to use the meeting rooms if they are not already in use or booked, (people paying for the room or the Cheese and Grain’s own meetings take precedence – but if the room is sat there empty, by all means use it)

• Print facilities: there is a high quality, long run capacity, up to A3, double side colour printer that can take commands from your laptop. Account holders and

Locators have a unique password and costs are added to your monthly bill.

• Car parking. The car park is a public car park run by Mendip District Council and of course there are charges. But the car park is huge (380 places), so there is always space, and free before 9am and in the evenings and weekends

• The Cheese and Grain is a music venue with about 70 live music events per year. These are almost always in the evenings (mostly Friday and Saturday

evenings). Hot-desking and meeting rooms are available 9am to 8pm six days a week, but we wouldn’t recommend trying work through a rock band or even through the sound checks! Noisy times are clearly indicated on our website and on visual displays in the hot-desk office space. The reception/box office can advise on times to avoid
